If they're bastards to the king they have a claim to the throne. It's not as strong as Stannis but they still have a claim.

Stannis has declared himself king, and any king can legitimise a bastard. So if he had a kid with Melisandre, he can just say "he's not a bastard anymore, this is a Baratheon and he's now my heir."

When Tyrion talks to Cercie about the wiping out of the Bastards she tells him a story about how Tommen (her younger son) had found a pregnant kitchen cat and was so excited about getting one of the babies. Excited he told Joffrey about it- who then demanded to see the cat. When Tommen shows him he pulled out a knife and cut it’s stomach open and started digging around for the babies. Tommen is TERRIFIED of his older brother & Cercie herself was shocked by his order to kill the children. A small note on why the Night's Watch don't just kill Craster (the daughter fucker): So first & foremost is that while Craster lives north of the wall, he does not consider himself a wildling. This allows the Night's Watch to use his keep as a safehouse in case any of their patrols need shelter. Secondly there is the matter of "guest right". Craster has invited the Night's Watch into his home, given them food & a place at his fire. In Westerosi tradition that means "guest right" has been invoked. Simply put, the Westerosi believe it is an affront to the gods to attack someone while you are a guest under their roof, or they are a guest under yours. It's something most people take very seriously, it's the basis of all Westerosi diplomacy

Book fun facts!: The three in the cage are from the Black Cells(which is where Ned was imprisoned.) It's reserved for the worst criminals. Rorge of the books has no nose and his companion Biter is a massive pale and hairless abomination who is never far from Rorge(Rorge is, in semi canon material, said to be the person who raised Biter to fight rats and dogs in the pits of Flea Bottom, the bad part of Kings Landing.) The Dothraki rider, Rhakharo, is still alive in the books. This is one of many early kills for characters who still had a purpose. I never liked this change. Dany's oath of vengeance was in the previous book, as one of the girls she saved from rape, Eroeh, was immediately raped and murdered by the two Khal's who claimed the remnants of Drogo's khalasar out of spite for her. Book Cersei is completely to blame for the purge of the bastards, though its not so overt. Several bastards are out of her reach, so the baby Barra and a few others are the only ones who die. They tried to make her more sympathetic, so they made it Joffrey's plan. However, book Cersei did it not out of fearing they might be a threat, but just because they were Robert's children. Janos Slynt isn't the one who killed the baby, but one of his men, Allar Deem(who has a reputation for brutality)does. Slynt gives several possibilities, including Deem, to take his place as Commander and Tyrion sends all of them to the Wall(with instructions that Deem should be thrown overboard on the way). Bronn does not take command of the City Watch, but instead it is taken by Ser Jacelyn Bywater, a knight who lost his hand during the siege of Pyke, who is recommended by Varys and proves to be loyal and a good friend to Tyrion.

Tyrion is one of the best he has a moral compass that a lot of people seem to lack.

Something is definitely wrong with Lestat in this episode- he would NEVER intentionally leave Louis for death if he had the capability to prevent it.

Actually Jaimie didn't stab Aerys in the back - not literally. Aerys was facing Jaimie when he was killed.

Remember, Lestat did tell Claudia the European vampires were vicious. Also, when Claudia inquired about Lestat's portrait, Louis wanted them to leave Paris immediately but Claudia wanted to stay.

It didn't take Lestat twenty years to apologize for dropping Louis. He had been apologizing the whole time they separated after that. Don't you remember all the gifts and apologies he sent Louis for years after? That's one of the things I dislike about Claudia. Lestat was giving a heartfelt, emotional apology to Louis, going off script in front of the whole coven and audience, and Claudia is in Louis ear telling him not to accept it, that it's too late. She has always tried to turn Louis against Lestat. She manipulated Louis into attempting to murder his love. If it weren't for Louis, Claudia would have burned him.

Remember season one is Louis' memories, perhaps they will do a season the way Lestat remembers things. And Lestat seemed kinda of drugged at some times during the performance.

1) Who else believes Lestat's version of events is pretty much accurate with the possible exception of who pursued whom when he met Louis? 😏 Although, at this point, I'm not entirely sure about that either. 🤔 2) Did anyone else notice the moment where Lestat appeared to have an expression on his face that suggested he was actually proud that Claudia was defiant to the bitter end? It was as if he was thinking, "that's my girl!" 😎 3) At least Claudia's beloved chose her over everything. If only the same could be said about Lestat's beloved, who instead chose to go along with Claudia's plot to murder him. 💔

i dont believe lestat came back for vengeance. hes following a script that almost feels he doesnt wanna follow because when he goes off script (like when hes apologizing or saying if they sentence them to death they sentence him too) it directly contradicts what hes supposed to be saying, also lestat looks kinda off in parts of it. Look at santiagos reaction when hes not saying what they want him to he starts looking at armands direction... why?

The reason why Claudia's story is so tragic is because she was inspired by Anne Rices daughter who died at age 5 due to a rare blood disease. And louis is practically Anne Rice and her vehicle for processing her death. Also Lestats charm and charisma was inspired by Anne husband Stan. Also once again from what I've seen i believe that not everything in this episode is what it seems to be. Smh this show is a mind fuck. Sad and intense episode.

I'm not going to say anything for sure, but there is NO UNIVERSE in which Lestat would willingly let Louis die when possessing all his faculties or control.
